34th Annual Nutcracker Tea Party

| November 18, 2013 | Calendar

The Nutcracker Tea Party is the perfect way to kick off your family’s holiday festivities! A quintessential Washington, D.C. holiday tradition, the Tea Party is held after the 1pm show at the Warner Theatre, at the beautiful Willard Intercontinental Hotel, which is turned into a Winter Wonderland and is a delight for ballet lovers of all ages. After seeing the Ballet’s acclaimed The Nutcracker, guests depart for The Willard where they will be greeted by the cast’s Revolutionary War Soldiers, participate in lively holiday entertainments, enjoy an elegant plated tea with white glove service and a buffet of sweets and treats fit for young and grown-up “Nutcracker” princes and princesses. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet many of the Company’s dancers and pose for professional photographs with members of The Nutcracker cast.

In addition, attendees will be able to purchase unique gifts from TWB’s Sugar Plum Shoppe, including TWB’s signature George Washington Nutcracker, Nesting Dolls featuring TWB Nutcracker characters, TWB and The Nutcracker items and apparel.

One of Washington’s most beloved holiday traditions, The Nutcracker Tea Party raises critical funds to support the Ballet’s artistic and educational programs that reach over 800 DC public school children annually. Now in its 34th year, The Tea Party helps ensure that TWB continues to provide the highest quality dance performance, training and education for everyone in the DC community.
