Embassy elite celebrated the bond between arts and diplomacy at the National Gallery. The Party: The Foundation for Art and Preservation in Embassies debuted native Washingtonian Martin Puryear’s sculpture for the U.S. embassy in Beijing. The People: Pols were in abundance, including Secretary Clinton, who was presented with a limited-edition etching from artist Brice Marden. Best in Show: Former MoMA president, Agnes Gund, was honored with the Lenore and Walter Annenberg Award.
