THE PARTY Art aficionados got a private peek at the evocative equestrian shots by Charlotte Dumas at the Corcoran Gallery of Art’s opening of her first U.S. solo exhibition, Anima. THE PEOPLE Corcoran curator Paul Roth, who commissioned the moody photos, toasted the Dutch artist in an intimate evening with Washington art tastemakers. BEST IN SHOW Partygoers marveled at Dumas’ somber series, which features images of the Old Guard horses carrying the caskets of fallen soldiers to their final resting place in Arlington Cemetery.
