The Party: The Corcoran Gallery of Art’s 56th annual ball was an all art-on-deck occasion with more than 150 volunteers logging 700+ hours to transform various galleries into nine different themes. The Players: Ball chair Tammie Collins, of the Corcoran Women’s Committee, hosted guests such as Amb. Arturo Sarukhan and his wife Veronica, as well as artist Lou Stovall, with his wife Di. Best in Show: The exhibit by College of Art + Design seniors was on display. The event, which hoped to net a younger set, held an after-party with similar finesse.
