THE PARTY
DC’s power-glam crowd was on hand to officially open CityCenterDC’s latest luxe shop, Caudalie, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an evening of browsing the boutique’s lush products. The store’s fabulous staff posed for photos and snipped the giant red ribbon before welcoming guests inside for the evening event. Also in town was the all-natural skincare line’s founder, Mathilde Thomas, who flew in from New York to personally welcome her fans to the new store and spa.
THE PEOPLE
The international beauty line brought out a jet-setting crowd, including former Afghan Ambassador Saeed Jawad, the first lady’s personal makeup artist (and DC magazine 2015 Man of Style) Carl Ray and British Embassy Head of UK Trade & Investment Melinda Goforth, to name a few.
BEST IN SHOW
Of course, the evening included some pampering! Guests were treated to mini- facials and personalized skincare consultations. While they browsed, guests were treated to wine from Thomas’ family vineyard, Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte in France.
