Capital Solstice

| August 8, 2016 | Parties

THE PARTY A New York phenomenon made its district debut with a chic, black tie affair at Echostage. TTC Private Chef and Banquet Service partnered with local vendors and artisans for the Capital Solstice pop-up dinner, a gourmet event featuring a 9-course menu crafted by renown chef Timothy Thompson. Guests were treated to dishes prepared with the finest local ingredients, like seafood corn chowder with lump crab, short rib ragu, roasted salmon fricassee and banana rum cheesecake. Everyone savored course after course while relaxing in the dimly lit club, complete with swanky leather furniture and table-top chandeliers.

THE PEOPLE The evening was packed with bold flavors and big personalities. Radio personality Guy Lambert kept the party going as the host and international fashion designer Korto Momolu led a fiery fashion presentation. After dinner, guests danced the night away to a performance by singer Cecily and beats by DJ Schemes. Other special guests included TTC visionary Timothy Thompson and CBS radio host, Sunni in the City.

BEST IN SHOW Food for Thought! TTC’s pop-up events always include a charity partner and for their inaugural DC dinner the charity of choice was Becky’s Fund. The organization works to end domestic violence by providing educational programs and emergency services. Proceeds from the evening were donated to the foundation, one of Washington’s most recognized community partners.
