Maria and Fabio Trabocchi’s Fiola celebrated its fifth year anniversary with a posh fĂȘte that benefited Refugees International.
THE PARTY The rooftop cocktail reception to toast one of DC’s best Italian spots offered views of the DC skyline as guests sipped on champagne and a specialty cocktail called the Cinque, crafted with Brugal Rum, Lillet Blanc, grapefruit and cherry liqueur. Washingtonians enjoyed an oyster bar and impeccable hors d’oeuvres, including duck prosciutto bites. Following the reception, people congregated downstairs for a four-course feast to benefit Refugees International and rejoice in fabulous Fiola.
THE PEOPLE Culinary couple and Fiola owners, Maria and Fabio Trabocchi were the guests of honor at the fabulous celebration!
BEST IN SHOW Guests were served bottomless Veuve and Macallan throughout the evening to complement an array of Italian specialties. In the downstairs of the Penn Quarter restaurant, both Maria and Fabio gave speeches and presented a seven-layer birthday cake to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the couple’s first-owned restaurant.
