DC’s 10th anniversary bash celebrated a decade of covering the incredible people, places and trends that make this city so much more than a political town.
THE PARTY
Throwback Thursday! It was a night of raucous reminiscing as DC magazine’s friends, family and staff feted 10 fabulous years with a lavish party at Union Market’s Dock5, featuring fun cocktails from Absolut and Vida Tequila, food from longtime partner Ridgewells, and even a hair and makeup station by Progressions Salon.
THE PEOPLE
More than 600 friends of the magazine turned out to toast the milestone, including many who have appeared in the pages of DC, like Food Network Star’s Emilia Cirker and Rue Rusike, philanthropist Michelle Schoenfeld and Michelle Obama’s makeup artist Carl Ray.
BEST IN SHOW
While sipping on Greenhill sparkling wine and grooving to the tunes of DJ Heather Femia, guests watched local artist Maggie O’Neill paint an oversized pop-art portrait of the U.S. Capitol throughout the evening. The finished product will be auctioned off at this year’s Capital Food Fight. We can’t wait to see what the next 10 brings! Photography By John Robinson
