Decorate Your Cake, and Eat It, Too

THE PARTY Pastry cheftestants beautified wedding-themed cakes inspired by spring fashion trends at the Let Them Eat Cake competition benefiting Les Dames’ scholarships. THE PEOPLE Renowned DC chefs, including Roland Mesnier, Top Chef’s Carla Hall and Bayou Bakery’s David Guas, helped judge the contest, along with Tysons Galleria shoppers who cast their own votes. BEST IN SHOW Laurie Alleman Weber of the Swiss Bakery was named the winner during the Cake Mixer, where invited guests could sample the confections, and mingle with contestants and celebrity judges.
