Here Comes the Bridal Book

| June 23, 2016 | Parties

THE PARTY DC magazine invited a hand-selected group of wedding industry elite to an elegant breakfast at the Westin Hotel in Georgetown to celebrate the upcoming launch of Modern Luxury Brides Washington, the first luxury wedding publication in the District. The morning started on the right foot with mimosas, fresh orange juice and passed hors d’oeuvres while guests chatted about all things bridal. A seated breakfast on the intimate outdoor patio followed, with four delectable courses featuring seasonal dishes perfect for a summer brunch. Highlights included a beautifully plated watermelon mint and feta salad and smoked honey salmon and asparagus on a buttermilk biscuit. Sweet tooth’s rejoiced with a decadent dark chocolate olive oil cake for dessert. Talk about a breakfast of champions!

THE PEOPLE DC’s premier wedding vendors were invited to the small gathering, representing venue, hotels, caterers, photographers and more. Editor-in-chief Michael McCarthy talked to the group about exciting new bridal trends and how Modern Luxury plans to represent the luxury bridal market with our new magazine, launching this winter.

BEST IN SHOW Luxurious locale! The stylish outdoor terrace at The Westin was the perfect backdrop for the much anticipated occasion. DC Rental provided chic farm style tables and linen chairs while Greenworks Florist spruced up the tables with natural centerpieces bursting with succulents for a relaxed and classic table scape. One lucky attendee received the chance to spend a little extra time at the esteemed hotel with a prize package of two night accommodations and a plush Westin robe.
