DC’s most powerful women filled the Ritz Carlton’s Ballroom for an elegant evening in Florence. Men posed on pedestals dressed as Roman sculptures during the cocktail hour to create the perfect atmoshere. Gala goers struck poses in photo booths, sipped elegant cocktails and participated in a wild auction raising money to eradicate domestic violence.

NBC’s Today Show Co-host Tamron Hall accepted the second annual Break the Silence Award, followed by keynote speaker and honoree Mary Margaret-Farren who shared her inspirational story. WUSA-TV news anchor Derek McGinity hosted this year’s live auction, featuring a surprise appearance by Washington Redskin’s player Pierre Garcon, who auctioned himself and teammates off for a private dinner for a lucky group of ladies.
