THE PARTY A slew of supporters swarmed to the sleek and chic House of Sweden on the Georgetown waterfront for the sixth annual Dancing After Dark event. Hosted by the Junior Council, the Children’s National Medical Center’s young professionals group, this glam gala helped raise funds for children’s health advocacy. THE PEOPLE Event co-chairs Blair Bjellos, Craley Davis and Erica Suguiyama joined Junior Council event co-chairs Jim McInerney and Clare Bonsignore for an evening of dining and dancing. Guests partied to music by The Winn Brothers Band and savored appetizers and desserts from Occasions Caterers. Dr. Bear, Children’s National Medical Center’s lovable mascot, also made an appearance alongside some Children’s National Medical Center VIPs, including Associate Vice President Shomari White. BEST IN SHOW The silent auction helped raise nearly $100,000 for the young patients at Children’s National Medical Center. The funds will play an important role in supporting the work of the center’s faculty and staff. Photography by Tony Brown
