THE PARTY The National Council of La Raza hosted a VIP reception at the historic Florida House on Capitol Hill to honor its new chairman of the board, Jorge A. Plasencia, the first Cuban-American, first Floridian and the youngest chairman in NCLR’s history. THE PEOPLE The organization’s President & CEO Janet Murguía, alongside Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, former NCLR Chair Monica Lozano and the American Conservative Union Chair Al Cardenas, welcomed a distinguished group that included Ambassador Arturo Sarukhán.
