Much Ado About Shakespeare

THE PARTY The Folger Shakespeare Library fĂȘted its 80th anniversary with a fun fundraiser netting $230,000 and featuring original entertainment spotlighting some of the District’s most prominent writers and performers. THE PEOPLE British Ambassador Sir Peter Westmacott and his wife, Lady Susie Westmacott, chaired the ball, welcoming the likes of Reps. John Dingell and Rush Holt. BEST IN SHOW Guests were entertained by Folger’s Elizabethan twist of the popular NPR quiz show Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me, with questions on the Bard and the library’s collection.
