THE PARTY Legendary singer Smokey Robinson paid a visit to the Duke Ellington School of the Arts to watch students perform some of his hits before heading to The Kennedy Center to belt out a few tunes himself. THE PEOPLE Mayor Vincent Gray, radio and TV legend Donnie Simpson, author Michael Eric Dyson, BET’s Debra Lee and even two of Duke Ellington’s grandchildren came to see the Motown star at the benefit.
