THE PARTY Military veterans, politicians and Washingtonians gathered at the Ronald Reagan Building to applaud members of the armed forces and their supporters. The evening’s honorees included Barrett-Jackson Auction Company President Steve Davis and Marine Turbine Technologies founder and CEO Ted McIntyre. THE PEOPLE Fox and Friends anchor Brian Kilmeade emceed for a crowd that included Army Chief of Staff Gen. Raymond T. Odierno and Air Force Vice Chief of Staff Gen. Philip M. Breedlove, along with famous Food Network faces Anne Burrell and Spike Mendelsohn, and NASCAR’s Kurt Busch and Jeff Burton. BEST IN SHOW A Humanitarian of the Year, McIntyre, proved he earned the honor when he donated a 1964 Ford Fairlane with an altruistic past to the auction. He’d purchased the car for $1 million in January from an auction benefitting the foundation—but only after Ron Pratte had purchased it for $700,000 and promptly donated it back.
