THE PARTY Washington’s most fashionable and well-read ladies flocked to The Hepburn for a girls night out with New York Times best-selling author, Emily Giffin, in celebration of her newly released book, First Comes Love. Famous for other titles, including Something Borrowed, Where We Belong, and The One & Only, Giffin opened the floor for a Q&A session where she answered questions from fans about her writing and her personal life. Attendees then had the opportunity to personally meet the author and have their new novels personally autographed. While enjoying panoramic views of Washington’s monumental skyline, guests sipped on fruit-infused summertime cocktails and snacked on small bites from Occasions Caterers including tuna tartar cups and miniature stuffed tomatoes.
THE PEOPLE The event was moderated by ABC 7 reporter Jummy Olabanji, and had notable appearances from local artist Cris Clapp Logan and ABC 7’s Autria Godfrey.
BEST IN SHOW Guests received a “sweet” gift bag that had a free copy of the author’s new novel, a custom bookmark and a cupcake from Sprinkles. Additionally, the winner of the evening’s social media contest won a custom drawing by Cris Clapp Logan.
