The Party: Wolf Trap’s sold-out barns set the tone for this intimate event offering their favorite fans six varietals of Gallo wines, five courses by Design Cuisine, and twenty-two tunes from Tchaikovsky to the Monkees and beyond. The People: Featured sommelier Mary Watson-DeLauder poured to the select set of attendees, including Wolf Trap Associates President and CEO Terre Jones, Associate Brian Clark and National Geographic’s Betty Hudson and Boyd Matson. Best In Show: The event closed in celebration as Jimi Hendrix’s Purple Haze amped up the punch of the last pour, a blend of Syrah, Zinfandel and Merlot and brought guests to their feet in flash-mob frenzy.
