THE PARTY Russian-themed restaurant Mari Vanna toasted its second anniversary with a birthday bash on its third-floor cocktail lounge featuring house-infused vodkas, blintzes and other authentic fare.
THE PLAYERS DC media personalities, politicos and tastemakers were transported to Moscow for the evening with a performance by Peter Dranga, internationally known musician, who weaved a playlist of classic and modern tunes.
THE SCENE The restaurant, a favorite of Caps player and Russian import Alex Ovechkin, celebrated the two-year mark with a babushka-themed sheet cake and flowing sweet-and-savory vodkas.
