THE PARTY DC magazine and luxury men and women's clothier, Paul Stuart, hosted the great jazz musician, John Pizzarelli, for an invite-only jazz concert at the National Museum of American History. Pizzarelli, who is dressed exclusively by Paul Stuart, played along side the famed Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Ensemble for an evening of unforgettable music. Prior to the concert, special guests of Paul Stuart, DC magazine and the Smithsonian were treated to delectable bites including short rib spring rolls and spicy lobster and shrimp potstickers from Ridgewells Catering while sipping on champagne, wine and a specialty cocktail from Whistle Pig Whiskey crafted just for the unique occasion. Guests did not leave empty handed! Fabulous swag bags were hand passed to each guest which included the newest CD from John Pizzarelli.
THE PEOPLE Jazzed to be here! Notable guests in attendance were jazz historian, Katja Von Schuttenbach; radio scholar and host of GW Presents American Jazz, Dick Golden; author Gus Russo; and Timothy Lowery of CityCenterDC.
BEST IN SHOW Please don’t stop the music! John Pizzarelli kept the crowd entertained with older hits and new pieces to hilarious inside stories from recording sessions with legend Paul McCartney. The Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Ensmeble's men and women were a sight to be seen on stage dressed head to toe by Paul Stuart to coincide with Pizzarelli's own evening attire.
