A Winter Luau

The Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of the American Indian celebrated the first snow of the season with a fabulous Winter Luau! The NMAI Office of Special Events and Restaurant Associates' Mitsitam Café hosted the luau to celebrate the opening of the museum's latest exhibition E Mau KeEa: The Sovereign Hawaiian Nation with Native Hawaiian cuisine, music, and photo booth complete with white, sandy beaches. Guests gathered to sample Spam Masubi, Huli Huli Shrimp, and Sweet Potato Donuts from Restaurant Associates' Executive Chef Jerome Grant while exploring the NMAI's soaring Potomac Atrium and exclusive meeting spaces. 150 attendees spent the evening enjoying acoustic performances from The Aloha Boys, commemorating the festivities with a TapSnap Photobooth.
