THE PARTY Fashionistas and philanthropists—perfect bedfellows—came together for an evening of super chic fundraising. French design house Hermès paired with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to raise $500,000 at its 50th anniversary gala. The funds will go to the hospital’s mission to provide top-of-the-line care to young patients free of charge. THE PEOPLE Chaired by a dynamic duo, Ambassador of Lebanon Antoine Chedid and his wife, Nicole, the event welcomed a plethora of embassy impresarios, including Mohamed Bin Abdulla Al-Rumaihi of Qatar and the former U.S. Ambassador to Slovenia Yousif Ghafari. Other VIPs, including St. Jude CEO Richard Shadyac Jr. and Hermès President Robert Chavez, were also present. BEST IN SHOW Ten-year-old violin prodigy Brianna Kahane—known for her appearance on the final episode of Oprah’s eponymous network TV show—and the Children’s Chorus of Washington provided the entertainment during the evening’s cocktail hour.
